Goal · Test demand
More clicks on Invest
After the public-site redesign, over one month.
SportBLX offered athlete-linked investments. I redesigned its public site to test demand, then designed a new investment platform from scratch, turning defined offerings into a purchase experience and proposing a secondary market.
Goal · Test demand
After the public-site redesign, over one month.
From interest to a product
The first investment product reached launch.
Extend the product
A buy-and-sell experience between investors.
The public siteTest the interest
The first goal was to find out whether people were interested in the offerings. The public site introduced athletes, but the investment action was easy to miss. Heatmaps showed attention going to navigation rather than the next step.
On the athlete page, the top menu received 38.71% of clicks. The first Invest button received 0%, and the second 3.23%.
I redesigned the athlete page and moved Invest into a persistent action area, keeping the offering recognizable while making the invitation to invest visible. Invest clicks grew twelvefold, and the site started generating investment inquiries.
The athlete’s name and image make the opportunity recognizable.
A persistent Invest area gives visitors a clear next step.
Clicks on Invest show interest; inquiries add context.
A new productDesign from scratch
The public site generated inquiries; the investment platform did not exist yet. With the primary offerings already defined, we began building it. I designed the information hierarchy, purchase flows and shared design system from zero.
The core challenge was balancing the athlete’s visual presence with the financial detail people needed before investing.

I organised each offering around those questions: athlete identity first, then the instrument, the return and the conditions. The order panel stays beside the terms on desktop and one tap away on mobile.

SportBLX spoke to investors and to sports fans. The same holdings can be read as a brokerage account, with quantity, purchase price, last trade and market value, or as a collection where every athlete is a trading card.

The proposalA secondary market
We proposed a secondary market where investors could buy and sell shares. I designed the price view, order entry, review and confirmation as an extension of the new platform, with the cost clear before every order.
The outcomeInterest, launch and proposal
The public-site redesign brought 12× more clicks on Invest, and investment inquiries supported the decision to build a new platform. The bond experience reached launch, and the secondary market was designed as its next step.
My contribution connected those stages: make the offering easier to discover, organise the information needed to understand it, and design the steps toward a purchase.
